After you all have waited so patiently…
I finally have a few moments to show you a bit around the new studio space!
I have been blessed with so many wonderful clients these last 6 weeks, I have had to focus on them and not the blog.
I do have some fun things planned to share with you over this summer, so I will try to post those more timely
!
Without more ado… here is our new little creative workshop!

In this space we will host creative events, workshops, shopping events (our first one is being planned right now!), meet with clients and create unique finds for home and life! It is a small space, but we will use it very efficiently.

This shot is looking out into our entry vestibule and our changing inspiration board.
Here are our desks… this area will have some color added to it soon, (some creative painting techniques from Alicia), along with a place to hang fabric swatches.
One of my favorite fabrics…. reinventing a dated chair. (I also have this fabric in my other office!)

The place were creative projects get done….
Some of Lulu & Lilly’s merchandise that is for sale. Custom pillows, vintage pieces, artwork, frames, and little treasures. There is even more coming…. wait until you see what we have planned for fall!
Maybe the perfect thing is waiting to go home with you?

Our past projects board in the vestibule of our entryway. Alicia and the Studio were featured in the Twin Cities Metro Mag during the month of April… a delightful article about my artistic partner and her business… written by the uber talented Cy Winship!
Thanks Cy for the wonderful kudos…
Lastly… when you come to visit us… this is your view into our space.
So… welcome!
Please come by to visit us soon… we are by appointment only, so please call first to make sure we will be at the Studio. We’d love to show you around our little space and introduce you to all of the current Lulu & Lilly projects!
Thanks for stopping by and thank you even more to our fabulous clients, friends, and associates who has helped make this new creative playhouse a reality. We couldn’t have done it without you. We are blessed!

There have been a ton of set-backs….one step forward and two behind in some cases, but we have perservered and made it to this day. Our special color and design playhouse is almost ready! Of course as time goes on, we will keep evolving it, but for now…. we invite you to put on your party shoes and join us tomorrow (Thursday, April 28th) at the Semple Mansion from 7-9 pm, for the event.
Please grab a friend (or someone who is really fun) and head on over for some delicious drinks and happy desserts. We’ll be looking for you. Oh, and don’t forget… we’re even giving away some wonderful prizes too! See you then!

Hey all…
Fall is definitely here in the Midwest and so are the shopping opportunities! Just thought I’d mention that there are an abundance of Occasional Sales this week in the Twin City Metro and beyond. So many in fact, it will take judicious planning to take in all of them. (I kinda like a challenge like that don’t you?!)
Wait… I think I heard someone say…“An occasional sale? What is that?” Well, let me share with you… Renee Christensen of the Minneapolis examiner.com describes them as: “Occasional sales are usually hosted by an antique dealer or a group of antique dealers, and are held as often as monthly to quarterly to biannually for three to five days.” I would also offer that these sales can be great places to find furnishings, home decor, seasonal decor, unique oddities, special handmade creations, repurposed finds, vintage wares and so much more! So, if you haven’t been to an occasional sale… you may not know what you’re in for! (Don’t say I didn’t warn you..)
Looking for something to fill that special spot, want to jump-start your holiday shopping, or just browse until you find that one piece that you didn’t know you would fall in love with? They’ve got them! Good buys and great finds. I am planning on finding a car load of wonderful things for my clients (and my own home)!
Want to catch a preview of the loot?
Start by checking out A Gathering of Friends down at Bachman’s Flagship Store in Minneapolis. This great sale has grown over the years to a spectacular sale. I always leave with not only loads of good stuff, but inspiration and ideas to put into action. I can’t wait to find some architectural pieces, a few vintage accessories, and maybe a white pumpkin or two. (No matter how many I already have, I always end up buying more here… it’s a like tradition!) Go ahead… just to temp you… check it out here.
In addition, Bachman’s is celebrating their 125th year by transforming their historic 1920’s Bachman family home, (located on the original Lyndale Avenue family farm), into a seasonal Ideas House. (The Fall Ideas House is open October 7-10. Tickets are $5 each with 20% of all proceeds benefiting Children’s Home Society & Family Services. Just a note: You must pre-register online for tickets ahead of time. Go here to do that.) So, not only can you shop for wonderful treasures, but you can gain some fall decorating inspiration and benefit a special cause all at once! That’s what I call real shopping ladies! Learn more here.
Then head on over to Teresa DeJarlais’s blog to see a preview of what’s coming over at The Atelier and The Porch. You will find me checking out the fall and Halloween decor, the jewelry and maybe a painted piece or two… You can find the shop right here...
Also check out the wonderful Second Hand Rose’s upcoming sale finds over at their blogspot. I especially want to check out the upholstered pieces, the lampshades and some of the old clocks (those are for me… I have a growing collection of old clocks.) Check them out here….
I will share some of my finds with you…if you share your finds with me! ” A Shop and Share Post”… post your comments and link back to your photos here in the comments.
Can’t wait to see what you find!

The lovely Linda MacDonald from over at Restyled Home posted a link to this wonderful travel option:
Snail Trail Campers.
They are located north of London, England, so should you be traveling over there soon it is a great way to see the countryside and if you are not traveling over there real soon, this may give you reason to! Either way, it is a fantastic idea and I’m glad I could pass it on.
They have an entire “fleet” of these darling retro campers, here are just a few I wanted to introduce you to… Constance, Ruby, Flo…

And here are Gracie, Matilda, and Nell and Betty. Don’t you just love that they have such darling names?

I have been trying to plan a return trip to England for several years now… this just gives me way more incentive!!
Travel on my friends….(oh, and you must send photos to me if you go!)
