One of my favorite places in my home is my bed.  I love everything about it, the mattress, the sheets, the duvet, the blankets, the pillows.  I love to sleep in on the occasional morning and revel in the comfort and peace of laying in bed, pondering the day ahead.

Some of the things that I deem necessary for my comfortable bed include good quality sheets, allergy-free down pillows and duvet.  In addition, one of the best gifts my husband ever bought for me was a body pillow, it adds another layer of comfort to my nest.  Sometimes I even ponder the possibility that if I was to be bedridden for a period of time, I would actually enjoy the experience immensely, given my comfortable surroundings and a stack of books.

I think a comfortable bed and bedroom is one of the most luxurious gifts we can give ourselves.  It is a personal space that we use to retreat, rest, sleep, and dream.  It is our place of comfort at the end of a busy day and it restores our bodies and minds for the next day ahead.  It does not need to be overly fancy or expensive, just hold the things that allow us to relax in comfort and to rejuvenate.
