This blog is designed to bring you all things home. I believe we all want to create more that just beautiful and organized homes, we want to embrace the daily life that happens within those homes.  If you are looking for a creative project, some design inspiration, a tasty recipe, or a tip on a unique shop to discover… this blog is for you.  I will bring you tips and advice that I use for clients in my design business, along with the daily inspiration from my own life and home.

My mission is to empower women to live creatively, celebrate the daily, and to embrace home.  I am passionate about making our home life a functional, personal space that we and our families can thrive in, laugh in, and play in.  Our homes should represent more than just a place sleep, eat, and store “stuff”.  They should be places to restore our souls, connect with each other, and create legacies.  They should handle dirty laundry, wet dog paws, and birthday parties.  They should welcome us home each time we step in the door and fill our hearts with a sense of place and belonging.  Our home should be an extension of who we are and should tell our story.

Not only are those daily events that happen in our homes important, but I believe we have a deeper sense of responsibility to serve others in our world.  Our days and lives should be marked by our love and concern for others on our street and around our globe.  As someone with a Christian worldview, I wrestle with how to be the hands and feet of the Jesus that I believe in, learning “how to walk the only walk that matters“.  I have been given so much; talents, opportunities, education, love; that I need to share those gifts responsibly with others.

It is my mission to share in this journey with you, so this is your blog too… let me know your thoughts, your inspiration, and your daily challenges.  I want to hear how you embrace your ordinary daily moments.  From learning how to organize your pantry, to choosing a new color palette, to experiencing life to its fullest, let’s share our thoughts and experiences on this creative journey.

We are in this life together and what better way to get through it than together?  Every time I sit down to write I will grab a cup of coffee or tea and ask you to join me.  We can share what works, what doesn’t, and what makes us laugh or cry.  We can talk about how to best bake a chewy cookie, how to artfully frame your child’s latest angelic photo, what to do about the endless piles of junk mail, or more importantly, how we can serve others in this life.   So, visit often, comment much, and share these posts with others on the journey.
